National Science Day 2021 Theme

Every year on February 28, the nation celebrates National Science Day. This year too the country will celebrate the day to mark the discovery of CV Raman which famously is called the Raman Effect and brought him a Nobel Prize for the same. The theme selected for this year is – Future of STI- Impacts on education, skills & work.

Many of us are not much aware of why we celebrate the day every year and what is the significance of the day. So, for them, National Science Day is celebrated to mark the anniversary of the ‘Ramen Effect’. The 1930 Nobel Prize winner gave the theory of Raman Effect- when light traverses a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes wavelength and amplitude.

National Science Day 2021 Theme: Know objective here 

This theme Future of STI- Impacts on education, skills & work has been chosen for the purpose of raising public appreciation of the scientific issues involved and the impacts science has on education, skill and work. The theme itself generates energy and encourages the youth for a future with education, skills, and work in science.

Every year the day is celebrated to raise awareness on the importance of science that has in our daily lives. The colleges and science institutes across the country celebrate the day by organizing public speeches, lectures and science model exhibitions, science movies, science exhibitions on themes and concepts, debates, quiz competitions.

Apart from this, students also demonstrates various science projects and innovations across the country. The government also felicitates scientists who contributed greatly to the field of science.
